2006 Activity Log

Kokanee Power Members are involved with many projects throughout the year. Here's a quick synopsis of some of the past activities that have been featured previously on the Kokanee Power What's Happening section on the Home page or in the Kokanee Power Kronicle newsletters. Many of our projects are documented in our Photo Galleries or Message Forums where you can see and read first hand reports of many of these events.

New Melones Pen Plant - Dec 5th, 2006 - Rainbows and Browns are now in opposing pens. Thanks to the DFG, KP, AnglerNet and Fishsniffer members who helped. Photos posted in the Gallery.
New Melones Pen Move - Dec 2nd, 2006 - The upgraded pens were moved into position by KP Members and are ready for fish. Click the link for details.
Collins Lake Pen Plant - Nov 30th, 2006 - The newly built pens were planted with fish from the DFG. The kids were the biggest helpers. Check out the 70 pictures in the photo gallery.
Shasta Pen Plant Nov 29th,2006 - The weather finally cooperated and the DFG was able to deliver the rainbows to multiple pen locations. Thanks to everyone who helped out.
Nov 18th, 2006- The 2nd Collins Lake trout pen was built and deployed.
Nov 11th, 2006- The 1st Collins Lake trout pen was built and deployed.
Oct. 21st, 2006- New Melones Trout Pens - KP members rebuilt the existing pens to get them ready for next year.
Oct. 19th, 2006- Kokanee Egg Collection - Little Truckee River - Volunteers collected eggs in cooperation with the DFG.
Oct. 14th, 2006- Ongoing San Joaquin Hatchery egg work. Volunteers needed for the next 2-3 weeks to process the eggs and related activities
