Stampede Reservoir
A CDF&G; target fishery for hatchery catchables. 20,000 catchable rainbow trout are planted each year. Three plantings of catchables are scheduled beginning in early spring. The last planting is completed by mid June. Brown trout have been planted in past years. Kokanee fingerlings are periodically planted. They are now 15 to 18 inches in size and weigh up to two pounds.

Camping Information

Campground Reservations are handled by the National Recreation Reservation System (NRRS). For campgrounds that are reservable, you can call 1-877-444-6777, or contact their website at reserveusa.com. Check with the Districts to see which campgrounds are reservable. Non-fee campgrounds are not reservable. For fee sites,the concessionaires who manage the sites make determinations about whether to make sites reservable or not.
