The trouting couldn't be better for lotsa folk fishing Lake Commanche. These 10 beauties were caught in just under six hours, pulling Berkley Grubs in the 3", solid white with a Berkley Power Egg in Pink ahead of the grub. Don't have a meter to gauge my speed, but we were moving just fast enough to make the tail on the grub "spin" as it were. Cold in the a.m. but warming nicely at the day progresses. With a little wind, the bite was steady. Without the wind, the bite was very sporadic. We've been having success like this every time out. I've been hitting the lake at least once, sometimes twice a week and the fish average between 2 to 3 lbs., with the larger one in the photo hitting the scale at just under 4.
