Phil Johnson Memorial Don Pedro Derby

Postby Kathy Johnson » Sun Jun 05, 2011 5:34 pm

Thank you to all who participated in the Phil Johnson Memorial Don Pedro Derby.
This was my first time be a chairperson for a derby. I really appreciated the 117 adults and 16 juniors
who braved the crazy, rainy weather. In spite of the rain, some beautiful Kokanee was
brought in to weigh along with Kings and Trout.
Thank you to the Pautzke Bait Company for donating the Kokanee Fire Corn for all participating anglers
to use.
Thanks to Mike Jerome's catering team, for the nice lunch.
What a great bunch of people at this derby. Old friends and new.
Thanks to Zachary Parks, Chelsea, and Dr. Michael Bagley from Feather River College, for coming.
Thanks to the fabulous Kokanee Power Board, what a team we are.
Looking forward to seeing you all next year at Don Pedro. Rain or Shine.
Lets hope for some sun at the New Melones 2 day derby on June 25 and 26.
Thanks again from the bottom of my heart. I really enjoyed you all.

Another great derby, could have did without the rain.

Thank you Kathy Johnson for stepping up to the plate and being chairman of this derby. Nice to get back in the swing of of catching Kokes. See everybody at Melone in 3 weeks.

I put together a real quick video, still learning the program but it'll give you an idea of the fun we had, it in HD.

Nothing like having to dig out the rain gear in June. Enjoy the pictures and thanks everyone for a great derby. Kent

Who would have thought we would be fishing in the rain June 4th?
