Congratulations to the Tripp Family. Another good year, Mike! Nicely done. Keeping it all in the family and securing the future of fishing...way 2 go!

Congratulations to the Tripp family. Also, can someone explain to me how the points are calculated, what are "throwouts", and why the standings for Juniors only goes to eleven?

Thanks
Jim

Jim,

Here are the basic rules for the AOY competition:

http://www.kokaneepower.org/AOY/AOY-rules-2009-2010.pdf

There are a couple of reasons why junior standings only go down to eleven. The primary reason is that the eleven juniors listed are those who were members prior to their first derby entered for 2009. Although several juniors participated in our derby in 2009, only those listed were members. Remember, the AOY award is open only to members. Secondly, the juniors not shown on the list only participated in one derby last season.

Regards.
