North River Marine Spring Seminar & Swap Meet!

Postby Gary Coe » Sat Apr 26, 2008 10:10 am

Saturday, May 10th is the day. North River Marine, West Sacramento, 2505 Front Street is the place.

There will be great opportunity to have a very good day at this event. The first 50 folks can reserve a Swap Meet Table for $10.00, buy, sell, trade, you name it. There will also be some very good seminars starting at noon with downrigger techniques, river stripers & sturgeon, kokanee fishing and servicing you Yamaha being discussed. A Yamaha Factory Rep and Service Manager will be on hand. Oh yes...FREE LUNCH!

While this event is being worked by Project Kokanee, I bring it up here because I've been to events there and they are both informative and a lot of fun. And I think it's a good opportunity for our members and friends (and future friends) to have a darned good day. This Swap Meet should be a kick! I mean who doesn't have some "stuff" they'd like to sell, buy or trade?

While a few of us were up in Lincoln Saturday (see Sportsman's Legacy Funding), there was another great event going on in West Sacramento at North River Marine. I mentioned it above a couple of weeks ago.

I've had numerous emails and phone calls over the weekend from both Kokanee Power members and future members telling me how well the swap meet, raffle and seminars turned out. I understand a great time was had by all who attended.

I think it's time for someone to thank those who made it happen! North River Marine, Sacramento, General Manager Tim Jacobs and his very able bodied crew are responsible for this fun filled super-day. They provided the venue, the lunch, the seminar speakers AND ALL OF THE RAFFLE PRIZES! Not to mention some FINE boats to look over!

So to you guys (and gal), regardless of area of interest or organizational affiliation; from the boaters and fisherman, thank you for being there. Thanks for a great day, for providing a good product & service, thanks for being the fantastic group you are and most importantly, THANK YOU for supporting our fisheries.
