An update:

I have spoken several times with Randy in the past day or two. He asked that I pass along his gratitude for your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. He wants to tell you so himself and he will when he can.

All of us here have a common bond. Simply stated, that bond would be fish… and fishing, and our dedication to doing what we can to insure it’s well being. I didn’t realize until earlier this evening through a conversation with Randy that Kasey’s family, while not directly involved with Kokanee Power, shared that bond. Her brother, Pat is a dedicated outdoorsman and fisherman and her father was a Warden with the California Department of Fish & Game.

There will be a memorial service for Kasey a week from Saturday on January 27th. The service will begin at 11:00 AM at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. The address is 1615 Morse Ave., Sacramento, CA 95864. This is on the corner of Morse Ave. and Arden Way.

Kasey's Service

Postby Randy B » Thu Jan 18, 2007 9:56 pm

To all our friends,
Kasey's 14 month battle with cancer ended on January 15th. This journey
was one that I hope none of any you will ever have to endure.
I thank all of you for the emotional support you have given us in this sad time. It has helped us more than you can know.
Gary has helped by getting out the important information about the service. Thank you so much. Kasey's family and mine would like to ask that in lu of flowers a contribution to Kokanee Power scholarship programs would be appreciated. Kasey was a Head Start pre school teacher for many years and we all know she would prefer that it would be a better use for that. I know Kasey is in a better place and her pain is gone, but I miss her so much. She encouraged me to do what I do and be what I am.
