Yes, it's even been in the papers down here. They were expecting longer delays than usual because of all the Thanksgiving traffic. It should be back to normal tomorrow.

I'll have to leave early ,if I can't find anyone to pick up the little girl from school at Unv. Prep/by Shasta High.

Update Radar show's verry little rain twards Lakehead and Diminishing . Some skattered rains twards Redding but nothing prolonged. Looks like its going to be a good day. Of Corse things could change, But looks good right now..

There will be a slight delay in the arrival of the planting trucks. There's some snow and ice on the road from the Crystal Lake hatchery which will slow down the trucks. The meeting time of 10am has been moved to 12 noon.

Well we spent the day in Lakehead, BUT due to snow and ice the trucks were unable to make the trip down the hill. When I left Lakehead the newly scheduled date is Wednesday the 29th at 10:00am at Sugerloaf Cottages.

I met a bunch of great people and I know they will do a great job on Wednesday, I wish I could be there, but I will be working.

If your not fishing ,learning new tricks to try and the Fishing stories is the next best thing.

Yes! While I was down at the American River Hatchery this afternoon picking up our food for tomorrow's Collins Lake plant, I got a call from the new DFG Region 1 Biologist, Monty Currier. The fish are IN THE PENS. He said they are real beauts now. What will they look like next April? For one thing... BIG!!

All went well and there were plenty of volunteers. I don't have names yet, but a big THANK YOU to all who helped. And that would include those who were there Monday.

And the bulk of the work was done by the CCC's--much to the relief of some of us old guys.

The only change I would make is to designate a pilot vehicle. One of the fellows I had invited (Troutdraggin on the Sniffer) wasn't sure how to get from Antlers to the last stop--Holiday. He and I were the last ones to leave Antlers but were the first ones to arrive at Holiday. We decided that there must have been a stop in Lakehead to feed the hard working CCC's. Ha! It turns out the rest of the caravan wound up at Lakeview Resort. So there was a slight delay to deposit about 750 fish at Holiday Resort.

I volunteer to be the pilot vehicle next year.

3,000+ Pit River Strain Rainbows in four pens on the McCloud and Sacramento Arms. Next year there may be two more pens on Shasta--Gary Coe may have more information on that later...

The Eagle Lake strain they Planted this year were Beautiful
A few dinks , but WOW ,most were good sized fish.
You can bet, I'll be out there to catch some of thoes humdinger's...

Being a dummy ,I guess,I just couldn't find the Pictures on here that they put up. Just in the Off chance theres other out there like me who couldn't find them. Here some to check out.

What color, The fish averaged 1.5 per Lb. But there were quite a few I saw 2 to 2 1/2 lbs already. Woo Hoo ,cant wate
