On Friday we hit the lake at 9:30am and by 1:00 pm landed 7 Kokanee from 13" to 14.75", small lenght but FAT! The 14"+ fish were pushing 1.75lbs. We were using Shasta Tackle 6" sling blades and Randy B made spinners in pink and blue, fishing 35 to 45 feet deep at 1.5mph. Most were caught between the cold water curtain and the dam, we lost 4.
On Monday we started fishing at 8:00am at mid lake fishing toward the curtain, it started out slow but by 11:30am we landed 7 more Koks between 14" and 15.75", still very fat. today orange was the color, Both Shasta tackle and Rocky Mountain 6" dodgers behind UV orange hoochies was the best bet. Check out the new Shasta Tackle UV dodgers, you will not be disapointed! The Whisky Town fish do have PODS Not to bad but some. As far as how we did at the Shasta derby....... WE SUCKED did all the right stuff...just not our days! See ya at Don Pedro.
