DFG Kids Fishing Day Summary Report

One of the annual causes Kokanee Power supports is the Kids Fishing Day events, 4 of them, put on by the DFG at the Mt Shasta Hatchery and one at the Anderson River Park in Anderson California. This is a great event where kids get introduced to fishing and get to catch some big rainbows specially arranged for the event. Region One DFG Biologist, Monty Currier gives Kokanee Power regular updates on the program and here is the summary below in a report for 2011. Over 1700 kids participated and 3700 plus fish were caught. Take a look at the report from Monty which has a few pictures too.
