FRC Receives Annual Kokanee Power Contribution

Kokanee Power’s October Directors Meeting had a special guest! Zachary Parks, Environmental Studies Instructor and Hatchery Director from the Feather River College attended to provide the Directors with a 2011 overview and 2012 hatchery plans.

Kokanee Power made its 2011 school/hatchery contribution to Zachary at the meeting in the amount of $5,000.00. The funding will provide for student interns both on campus at the hatchery and in the field. It will also provide funding for needed hatchery materials to facilitate its safe and efficient operation in the coming year.

We applaud Zach’s efforts at Feather River and we thank our membership and supporters for giving us the opportunity to help support the college, its hatchery and the students in the environmental studies programs.
